Sayaka Shoji
Sayaka Shoji was born in 1983 in a family of artists in Tokyo, Japan. His mother is a painter and his grandmother is a poet. He immigrated to Italy at the age of three and began to learn the violin at the age of five. After returning to Japan, he won first place in the national student music competition and began to gain the attention of the Japanese music industry. Since 1995, Shoji Sa Yaka returned to Europe to study again. In 1998, he went to Cologne University of Music and Dance in Germany to study with Chuck Ha Bron. In 1999, at the age of sixteen, Shoji Sa Yaka shined in one of the most important international violin competitions "Paganini Violin Competition", becoming the most representative violinist of the new generation in Japan, and won the conductor Mei Appreciation and promotion of the tower.
Shoji Sayaka has worked with many internationally renowned conductors including Vladimir. Ashken, Charles Duthua, Maris Jansson, Zubin Mehta, Semyon Bichkov, Pafo Javi, Zheng Mingxun, Antonio. Sir Papano and Yannick Nietze-Sigyn, etc.
Important performances in the 2016/2017 season include cooperation with the French Radio Philharmonic, the Tokyo Metropolitan Symphony Orchestra, and the Seoul Philharmonic Orchestra, as well as with Valery. Gazif conducts the Mariinsky Theater Orchestra, Christopher. Urban conducted a tour of the North German Radio Elbe Philharmonic Orchestra in Japan, and also performed by Christopher. The violin concerto was composed and personally directed by Pandretzky. In addition, Shoji Sa Yaka also participated in the performances of the Orchestra of the Academy of St. Cecilia in Rome, the Austrian State Musician Orchestra, and the NHK Symphony Orchestra.
Shoji Sa Yaka’s long-time supporter and spiritual mentor conductor Yuri Temirkanov has invited her to perform regularly since 2011 and has been to Japan, Mexico, Russia, the United Kingdom, Ireland, Belgium, Latvia, France, Eda Lee, and the United States. In 2017, they returned to the United States and St. Petersburg to perform, and in 2018 they will perform in Japan again. In 2012 they recorded the Prokofiev Violin Concerto for the Deutsche Grammophon.
Shoji Sa Yaka performed many recitals and chamber music. The musicians who have worked include Vadim. Repin, Itamar. Golan, Stephen. Iselis and Martin. Frost. Recently participated in music festivals including Verbier Music Festival, Annecy Music Festival, Ravello Music Festival, Prague Spring International Music Festival, Siena Music Festival, Beethoven Music Festival, etc.
Shoji Sayaka has settled in Europe since 1998. The violin currently used is loaned by the Ueno Pharmaceutical Company of Japan. The Stradivari violin "Recamier" made in 1729.
